|Start:||5/9/2012 5:00:00 PM
|End:||5/9/2012 8:00:00 PM
The Triangle .NET Users Group (TRINUG) presents:
With the upcoming release of Windows 8 and Metro applications, Microsoft has really changed the way you need to think about applications. Metro applications will have ability to deeply integrate into the core operating system allowing your applications to feel as if they were designed in conjunction with the Operating System. This deep rooted integration is called ‘Contracts’ in Win8/Metro jargon and these Contracts will allow users of your application to share data between, from both inside and outside your application, with other applications. They will allow your application to be searchable from any application as well as provide a seamless and consistent application settings experience.
In this session we are going to take a look at how to utilize System Contracts in Windows 8/Metro in order to Light Up your Metro application. We will learn step by step what is needed to allow your application to become searchable, to share data and to have an integrated settings environment.
