When: December 2 (first Tuesday of each month) - 6:00 – 8:00PM
Why: A free discussion on the latest Microsoft designer and developer technologies

For this free special interest group, industry renowned experts from around Houston will discuss the latest design and developer technologies from Microsoft.

This special interest group (SIG) is a community effort initiated by EPS but open to all interested participants. Each month, a different presenter from various organizations will present to interested attendees. The group is dedicated to exploring modern user experiences (UX) which are part computer programming and part artistic design. While traditionally there has been little overlap in the two disciplines, users now expect a good experience with a professional look. Covered topics will range from development in Silverlight, WPF and related technologies such as Microsoft Surface to design of rich interactive experience for graphical designers. The group strives to provide a good balance of content that appeals to both developers and designers.

RSVP Requested
Attendance of the SIG meetings is free. To allow us to plan the meetings better and to judge interest ahead of time, we ask people to RSVP here. (This is a temporary site and will be replaced in the future with www.d2sig.org.)

The MSDN Southern Fried Roadshow is a free developer event with a southern flair, where you will learn about some of the latest developments in Microsoft technologies. For December, 2008 the Roadshow will be presented by Architect Evangelist Chad Brooks and Developer Evangelists Glen Gordon and Brian Hitney. Chad, Glen & Brian will be loading up a minivan with lots of goodies, and trying to hit 4 cities in North Carolina and South Carolina in 4 days.

Take a tour of Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, get the scoop on Silverlight 2, and learn about the latest (and future) features of ASP.NET.

We will also feature local speakers from each of our stops delivering short talks at the beginning of the Roadshow. These Homegrown Nuggets will sure be tasty!

Every attendee will receive a free MS Press book on Silverlight 2 (while supplies last) as well as pointers to tons of resources for further learning. In keeping with our theme, a nice Southern fried lunch will be served.

This event will be held on: 12/5/2008 at 9:00 AM.

Address: 8055 Microsoft Way
City: Charlotte
State: NC
Zip Code: 28273

Community Megaphone Events Feed

<geo:lat>35.1402544</geo:lat><geo:long>-80.9209804</geo:long><dc:coverage>NC</dc:coverage>

Northern Virginia Code Camp 2008.2

The Fall 2008 Northern Virginia Code Camp will be held at the Microsoft Technology Center in Reston, VA.
